Tezpur
Tezpur is located on the banks of the Brahmaputra River in the Sonitpur district of Assam. The city is the administrative headquarters of the district. The city is considered as the cultural capital of Assam. It is situated on the north bank of Brahmaputra about 170 km from Guwahati. Tea business is the main industry of this city. You would get to see several tea gardens around the city. Tezpur is base point to visit Nameri Wildlife Sanctuary known for Mahaseer fishing and bird watching.

- Nameri National Park (35 kms) / Bhalukpong (57 kms) / Tipi (64 kms) - near Bhalukpong (Arunachal Pradesh) is home to 500 varieties of Orchids.
